So there have been many a Raqad sold though there are still some going so get in touch if you want one of the very limited 100 hard copies hand printed using lino (mmmmm).

Luke Davydaitis also posted a wee review on his blog.

After a very long process and much procrastination I am happy to say that Raqad is finally complete! 100 copies hand printed using a lino design by the amazingly talented and patient Luke Fletcher (lfletcher.co.uk) complete with a printed disk and insert.

Making a mess

RAQAD is available for a donation and all the money goes towards funding my year working for my church in Glasgow (www.hopechurchglasgow.org). If you want one then please get in touch and I can post one out to you! First come first served.

I will post up previews of the songs in the not too distant future but for now it remains a mystery :-)

There are 8 tracks in all and most are pretty alternative electro... the last 3 are acoustic and perhaps a wee bit more accessible but then I have tried to make it as accessible as possible. A friend likened it to a worship version of Thom Yorke's eraser... I'd disagree but then I do love that album.

The birth of Raqad is nigh....

My new album Raqad has been a long time coming and I hoped to get it out yaaages ago but behold it was not to be. But now, yes

now the 8 track (one of them is 11.42 mins to make up for its small ness) electronic worship album (most of it anyway) is ready and recorded and mixed. Yaaay! I hear you lone reader cry.

It is the first time I have ventured near creating worship music of my own stemming from my Christian faith but all is explained in the insert (which as we speak only exists theoretically.) So your best bet is to buy it and find out what its all about eh! Well the music is finished which is the hard part I suppose but I still have 100 cases to lino print, 100 inserts to print and 100 cds to print and burn before I can rest and reap the plentiful harvest (I'm a bit of an optimist I

admit.) My friend and brother from another mother the amazing Luke Fletcher (fletcher.co.uk) has slaved away cutting from lino a beautiful design for my CD and every one of them being ha

nd made and even numbered, well, what a wonderful present for someone hey? All the pr

at a later date but the expected release date is the 1st of September 2011... I should really have some mental party to celebrate eh... maybe.
